An accommodation advance alternative is a solution that removes the need for you to produce that large lump sum yourself. Rently fills that role by paying your full annual rent directly to your landlord while you repay in monthly payments. This means you can move into any home without first saving up an entire year of rent.

How does Rently pay my landlord if I pay monthly?

Once your application is reviewed and approved, Rently pays your landlord the full annual rent upfront in the number of cheques agreed in your lease, whether that is one, two, three, four, or six cheques. Your landlord receives the full amount with no deduction. You then repay Rently through monthly payments that include a transparent service fee, calculated based on your individual application details.

How is the Rently service fee calculated?

The service fee is personalised based on the details of your application, including your income profile and the payment structure agreed with your landlord. There is no flat rate applied to all tenants. You can use the online calculator on the Rently website to get an estimated monthly cost before you commit, so you have a clear picture of what you will pay each month before signing anything.

Can Rently also cover my security deposit?

Yes, covering your security deposit is an optional add-on you can select during the application process. If you choose this option, Rently pays the security deposit directly to your landlord alongside the annual rent. The deposit cost is then spread across your monthly payments. At the end of your tenancy, your landlord returns the full deposit amount to you directly, in line with the terms of your lease.
